Members can also work toward graduating with honors by accumulating 100 hours of service over their 4 years of high school. These volunteer hours can come from shared NAHS projects as well as individual projects/volunteer experiences. Individual projects/experiences might include working on murals at school or in the greater community, advocating the program and the arts at different events, fundraising projects to raise money for the chapter or another cause, working in the community with kids and art, setting up art shows in the community, participating in other club service projects that are visually focused, volunteering to help art teachers at Skyline or any other school, etc., etc. Members of Art Club and of the VPA counsel will automatically receive 20 hours for each year they have participated as an outstanding member of either club.
Confirmed commitment to the chapter (with fee payed or waived) needs to be made by the first meeting in December, so that members can be nationally registered.
Members should record their hours on this form and return them to the sponsor by the first meeting in April for purposes of lettering or graduating with honors.
Members will receive their letters and cords at the final banquet in early May.
